Abstract
This paper focuses on the application of clustering algorithms in the education industry, and explores its role in customer segmentation for business model innovation and marketing data protection. With the digital transformation of the education industry and the intensification of market competition, it is crucial to accurately meet customer needs. The article first explains the principle of clustering algorithm, common algorithms and their advantages in data mining, and then analyses the importance of customer segmentation in the education industry and the shortcomings of traditional methods. Then it introduces in detail the process of business model innovation in the education industry with the help of clustering algorithm, including the practice of customer segmentation based on clustering algorithm, the construction of innovative business model and the inspiration of successful cases. At the same time, it discusses the importance of marketing data to educational institutions, the challenges they face, and the role of clustering algorithms in optimising marketing data.
