Abstract

This paper focuses on the application of intrinsic safety analysis in power system accident prevention. The stability of the power system is of great significance to the social economy and residents' life, but its scale expansion brings new safety hazards, and the story of accident prevention is extremely critical. The article first explains the basic theory of intrinsic safety analysis, including the definition, components and management system construction method; then analyze the power system accidents caused by natural disasters, equipment aging and defects, improper management and maintenance, external damage and personnel operating errors and other factors. Then from the enhancement of personnel safety quality and skills, strengthen equipment safety management, optimize the system design and operation mode, improve the management system and process of the four aspects, to explore the specific application of intrinsic safety analysis. Through the case of NuScale Power Company in the United States, we verify its effectiveness and summarize the experience, and at the same time, we point out the deficiencies and challenges in the application of personnel, equipment, systems, and management. To summarize, intrinsic safety analysis can reasonably coordinate and manage multiple aspects, and reduce the incidence of power system accidents and economic losses.
