Abstract

This paper looks at how important cybersecurity rules are in shaping the rules for how companies protect their networks. As online risks to businesses grow, following the rules is necessary to keep private data safe and make sure operations run smoothly. This research looks at how cybersecurity rules like GDPR, CCPA, and NIST guidelines affect security strategies, risk management, and policy enforcement. The paper uses case studies and industry data to show how hard it is for businesses to make sure their security policies are in line with changing rules while still meeting their business goals and running their operations efficiently. The results show that following the rules makes security better, but it also comes with problems like higher costs and more complicated policy management. This study shows businesses how to effectively include government rules in their security plans, encouraging a proactive approach to cybersecurity governance and lowering risks in a digital world that is becoming more connected.
